Signpost Experiences Significant Traction with Deal Scout Program Helping to Create New Employment Opportunity for Local Entrepreneurs

NEW YORK--()--Signpost, a local marketing service for small businesses, has witnessed unprecedented growth in its Deal Scout Program since its expansion beyond New York in August. Not only is Signpost adding more than 1,000 scouts per week, but it is also helping to provide an employment opportunity to numerous underemployed and unemployed Americans. Based on current acquisition rates, the company conservatively projects that more than 13,000 scouts will have participated in its training program by the year’s end.

The Deal Scout Program empowers local entrepreneurs across the country to sell the Signpost service to small businesses in their area. Deal Scouts are talented marketing and sales experts that leverage their connections and knowledge to become their own boss and support local businesses. The surge in new scouts and their early success is driven by Signpost’s recently enhanced small business marketing service. Registered merchants can now initiate an unlimited number of customized local deals and retain all associated revenue for a flat monthly fee. The flat-pricing model positions Signpost as a long-term local marketing partner and enables merchants to experiment with what works best for business, in terms of frequency and cost, on a given marketing campaign. On average, scouts receive $300 for each new business they sign up to Signpost’s subscription services and some scouts earn in excess of $3,500 per month.

“We are fortunate to have created a business model unique to the industry that allows us to build strong relationships with local merchants and provide a new employment opportunity in a time when it couldn’t be more important,” said Stuart Wall, CEO of Signpost. “Assuming our current activity rates, Signpost could create a local sales force that will rival any daily deal company or other local marketing business."

Originally offered in Manhattan, Signpost has since expanded to all major cities nationwide with Boston, Chicago, New York City and San Francisco as its biggest markets. The company has plans to continue to expand to accommodate additional merchants throughout the United States.
