JAMF Software National User Conference 2011

MINNEAPOLIS--()--JAMF Software, developers of the Casper Suite—a collection of client management applications for Mac OS X computers and iOS mobile devices such as the iPad and iPhone—today announced the educational sessions that will be offered at their National User Conference. The conference, which will take place November 8-10, 2011 at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, provides an opportunity for the user community to share information about emerging themes in Mac and iOS management.

In this second annual National User Conference, JAMF Software is significantly increasing the number of introductory, advanced and development session tracks that will be offered throughout the three-day event.

“We have received valuable feedback from our user community to help shape the educational programming,” said Cameron Evjen, Manager of Education Services at JAMF Software. “The sessions will focus on knowledge sharing and education that can help customers expand their expertise in client management for the Apple platform. The event will feature a broad range of presentations by experienced administrators and JAMF Software engineers, providing a great opportunity to connect with peers in the JAMF Software community.”

The JAMF Software team has announced many of the more than 25 sessions they plan to offer at the conference, with more to be announced in the coming days. The session list includes:

  • Deployment Strategies for OS X Lion
  • Managing One-to-One iPad Deployments
  • Scaling the JAMF Software Server
  • Securing Macs in the Enterprise
  • The JAMF Software Developer Program Preview
  • 10 Things You Might Not Know About the Casper Suite

In addition to the scheduled sessions, there will be opportunities for attendees to network with peers and participate in hands-on lab time with JAMF Software engineers. By providing extensive educational sessions and informal lab time throughout the event, JAMF Software representatives say they plan to provide an environment where attendees of all skill levels can learn in the ways best suited to their personal learning style.

“Learning from knowledgeable peers about applying best practice principles of Mac and iOS management is always beneficial,” said Jason Wudi, Director of Service and Support at JAMF Software. “The National User Conference will be a great chance for members of the user community to learn and share real-world practical knowledge that they will be able to apply to their daily administration duties, increasing their levels of efficiency and expertise.”

Registration for the event is free and open to the JAMF Software user and partner community.
