ACT Conferencing Introduces Enhancements and Updates to Global Platforms

LAKEWOOD, Colo.--()--ACT Conferencing today announced service enhancements to improve its audio, web and video conferencing solutions.

New Global Local and Toll-Free Access Numbers

To support ACT’s focus on large, multi-national companies, it has added several countries to its list of local access dial-in numbers:

  • Brazil
  • Bahrain
  • China
  • Egypt
  • Serbia

This means participants in these countries attending an ACT customer conference call have the ability to dial a local or in-country toll-free number to access the call, decreasing their costs and improving accessibility and call quality.

In addition, while ACT continues to expand presence in China, it has begun billing in Chinese Remnimbi (RMB).

BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing Application

The BlackBerry® Mobile Conferencing application helps BlackBerry® smartphone users get the most out of ACT’s ReadyConnect® service. Available on BlackBerry App World™ and developed by BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion (RIM), the application allows users to easily connect to conference calls on the go. BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing uses natural language processing to turn dialling phone numbers and access codes into a simple "Join Now" button and reminder. It also makes it easy to schedule conference calls by providing access to personal bridge details with one click.

The application has been tested and certified with ACT’s ReadyConnect service, and is supported for ACT users in the U.S. and Canada.

“ACT continues to add convenience features that add value and enhance customer experience. We're pleased to have worked with RIM in ensuring that the BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing app works smoothly and brings value to our mutual customers,” commented Gary Iles, vice president of global sales and marketing with ACT.
