Polycom’s Steve Pattison Joins ProtonMedia’s Executive Advisory Board

Pattison will advise ProtonMedia’s leaders on the company’s business development and strategic direction of its ProtoSphere technology

LANSDALE, Pa.--()--ProtonMedia, the developer of the ProtoSphere virtual collaboration environment, today announced that Steve Pattison has joined the company’s Executive Advisory Board. Pattison is the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Polycom.

As a member of ProtonMedia’s Executive Advisory Board, Pattison joins executives from Microsoft, IBM, and Cisco in providing the company’s management team with expertise and counsel on industry partnerships, business development, and overall corporate strategy.

Pattison has over 10 years of experience in the rich media and enterprise video software and technology industries. He has been responsible for a number of significant partnerships aligning leading vendors in the networking, video conferencing, encoding, and storage industries.

Prior to Polycom, Pattison was responsible for business development, corporate development, product management, and product marketing at Accordent Technologies and negotiated Polycom’s recent acquisition of the company. Pattison has held numerous leadership roles in the high-tech industry, including executive positions at Interwoven (acquired by Autonomy) and Documentum (acquired by EMC). He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
