NEW YORK--(HMS (NASDAQ:HMSY), a wholly owned subsidiary of HMS Holdings Corp., announced today that it has been awarded two contracts by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW) to provide review and recovery services for the Commonwealth’s Medical Assistance (Medicaid) program.)--

Under the first contract, HMS will provide third party liability data exchange and recovery services, including data match, cost avoidance, and recovery billings. HMS will also provide financial overpayment reviews and recovery services under a subcontract.
These contracts run for four years, with the option to renew for two additional two-year periods.

HMS has performed TPL services—including recoveries, credit balance audits, and revenue maximization initiatives—on behalf of Pennsylvania since 2000, and has recovered more than $226 million for the Commonwealth during that time.
