Panel discussion to include perspectives from Visa and Universal Weather & Aviation executives on how the TSA has managed its policies concerning invasive searches and personal privacy

LOS ANGELES--()--The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) was created as a result of the September 11 terrorists attacks to strengthen the security of the nation’s transportation systems. In its efforts, the TSA has put important policies in place concerning invasive searches and personal privacy. Mitratech's Corporate Technology Counsel, Scott Giordano, Esq. will be leading a panel discussion at the SCCE’s Annual Compliance & Ethics Institute on Tuesday, September 13 that will include perspectives on how the TSA has managed its policies. The panel, Policy Management in Practice: Lessons Learned from the TSA and Others, will discuss best practices for creating policies in large and multi-national companies, how organizations have addressed implementation challenges, and whether those policies were ultimately effective. Panelists include: Bobby Butler, Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer, Universal Weather & Aviation, an expert on policy management with an emphasis on anti-bribery & corruption compliance and on export controls; and Lisa Hill, Senior Business Leader, Visa, who brings deep expertise in corporate policy and process development, knowledge management, business analysis, and corporate governance.
