SAN FRANCISCO--()--CrowdFlower, the leader in enterprise crowdsourcing, today announced a variety of competitions that the company is crowdsourcing with conference sponsors and participants to help market CrowdConf2011. CrowdConf represents the market movement as crowdsourcing matures and vendor product’s stratify. Crowdsourcing companies address a range of needs such as fundraising and design to marketing and content management and CrowdConf expects to see even more conference participants with new applications of crowdsourcing as the market grows.

“CrowdConf thrives to identify opportunities to work with and support partners within the industry all the while making sound business decisions regarding best practices for our event”

Sponsors and CrowdConf2011 participants including Crowdsortium, 99Designs, CrowdTogether and CloudFactory are partnering with CrowdConf to develop creative ways to engage the crowd and enhance awareness of the leading and industry’s original crowdsourcing conference.

While CrowdFlower’s core competency enables the enterprise to manage large-scale data, the company understands the power yielded by the crowd and taps into a variety of crowdsourcing approaches to maximize marketing opportunities for the conference. Marketing activities including a crowdsourced poster design contest, t-shirt design contest, a blog contest and a hackathon will be part of the innovative campaigns embraced by CrowdConf.

CrowdFlower is partnering again this year with 99Designs, a silver level conference sponsor to create the CrowdConf2011 t-shirt design. The winner of the design contest will receive $500. Contestants can enter the competition later this week at www.99design.com/contest. 99Designs is largest online marketplace for crowdsourced graphic design, with a new design uploaded every 6 seconds and over $20,000,000 paid out to their design community in just 3 years.

Crowdsortium, a group of crowdsourcing industry practitioners that have self-organized to advance the crowdsourcing industry through best practices, education, data collection and public dialog, is holding a competition for Crowdsortium members to compete for a free exhibitor table at CrowdConf2011 that opened for submissions on August 19, 2011 and will close September 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. Competitors must be Crowdsortium members from a company that has been established for one year or more and has obtained a minimum of one round of funding. Competitors will submit a blog stating why they should be considered the most up-and-coming crowdsourcing company and should be exhibiting at CrowdConf2011. The winner of the blog contest will be awarded a complimentary exhibitor booth and free passes to the industry’s leading event. Learn more at crowdsortium.org.

Another innovative contest is being hosted by conference sponsor CrowdTogether, a company that provides a free social media marketing platform built around crowdsourcing. CrowdTogether’s free contest builder allows users to access the creativity and opinions of supporters, from set-up and promotion to design submission and voting. CrowdTogether is hosting a poster design contest for CrowdConf2011 on their website www.crowdtogether.com from August 22-September 23. The winning CrowdConf2011 poster design will be recognized as the official CrowdConf2011 poster designer and receive free tickets to CrowdConf2011. The poster will be distributed to more than 600 attendees at the conference.

Finally, at CrowdConf on November 1st, CloudFactory will be the exclusive sponsor hosting the first ever hackathon event branded as CrowdHack. A maximum of 24 participants will be invited to conceptualize, create and present projects, apps, or hacks in 12 hrs; anything goes, as long as it’s onsite. Winners will be awarded with the opportunity to demo in the exhibit area, given a “shout out” onstage and receive a unique prize. To register visit http://crowdhack.crowdconf.com.
