BURLINGAME, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mykonos Software Inc., the creator of the first Web Application Firewall with a Web Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS) that secures Web sites and Web applications against fraud and theft, today announced the opening of a new Research and Development office in Rochester, New York.

The Mykonos Research and Development office will focus on expanding its research into proactive cyber security methodologies and deception based techniques, as well as the development and engineering of next generation features and products to add to its current award winning solution.
