Customer AmBev to present case study; JDA to deliver S&OP tutorial

“Strategies to Transform Transportation in a Lean and Sustainable Operation”

ILOS is an annual event designed to promote discussion on broad themes of importance to logistics and supply chain executives, as well as stimulate the sharing of ideas and experiences among executives, academics, and event participants. The most prestigious logistics event in Brazil, ILOS takes place over three days and consists of more than 70 presentations. Presentations include a general session presented by national and internationally renowned speakers, tutorials covering modern management concepts and approaches, case studies aimed at providing best practices related to logistics solutions deployed in enterprise business processes across industries, and discussion panels featuring prominent logistics and supply chain experts.

AmBev transportation manager Leandro Fluvierz do Nascimento and corporate transportation specialist Luiz Henrique Fruet will present a session titled “Strategies to Transform Transportation in a Lean and Sustainable Operation” on Tuesday, September 13, at 12:30 p.m. This session will highlight the challenges faced by AmBev to centralize transportation and optimize its inbound, outbound and transfer operation including factory plants and distribution centers. The session will also discuss improvements on its fleet utilization, freight administration, vehicle loads and other processes that have provided better financial, operational and environmental results.

JDA Session Details

JDA business development director Affonso Leme and business manager Roberto Cannavan will present “S&OP and Resource Optimization in a Growing Demand Environment” on Monday, September 12, at 12:30 p.m. This session will offer sales and operations planning (S&OP) best practices to improve the use of the existing company assets and delay or reduce the necessity of new investments. The Brazilian economy presents many operational challenges, creating production, transportation, and inventory management and distribution issues. The sales and operations planning process enables collaborative planning, helping to identify potential bottlenecks and collaboration between order management and fulfillment in order to optimize human and material resources to ensure the achievement of financial goals.
