Samsung Introduces New Economical, Eco-Friendly, Multi-Function Printer Lines That Deliver High Quality Results for Small and Mid-Sized Businesses

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, today announced its newest lines of monochrome laser, multifunction printers ideal for a variety of environments from the small-to-midsize business to the home office. The SCX-4729FD, wireless SCX-4729FW, ML-2955ND and wireless ML-2955DW offer sleek designs, eco-conscious options and features that increase performance and productivity.

INCREASED PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

The multifunction SCX-4729FD, SCX-4729FW as well as the ML-2955ND and ML-2955DW single function printers provides ease of use with printer speeds up to 29 pages per minute (ppm), built-in duplexing and processor speeds of 533 megahertz (MHz). In addition, the SCX-4729FD and SCX-4729FW have increased functionality with built-in scan and fax functions, higher than industry average automatic document feeder (ADF) capabilities and a pop-up numeric keypad.

For wireless connectivity, the SCX-4729FW and ML-2955DW models also include Samsung’s one-touch wireless setup, a quick set up that takes less than two minutes. Both of these models are also compatible with Samsung’s MobilePrint app, which allows users to print directly from their Android and iOS mobile devices to Samsung wireless printers for quick printing when traveling for business, working remotely, or visiting with friends and family.

SLEEK, PROFESSIONAL AND SILENT DESIGN

All of the new Samsung printers have noise levels that are less than 50 decibels (about the sound of a normal conversation) while in use and less than 26 decibels (about the sound of a whisper) at standby, which reduces noise overall and contributes to a quieter office experience.

Built with a compact footprint (ML-2955ND/DW – 13.7” x 13.3” x 7.7”, SCX-4729FD/FW – 16” x 13.3” x 15.1”), these printers provide a stylish and economical aesthetic for everything from a crowded home office to a mid-sized business.

ECO-PRINTING

Samsung’s latest printers have lower power consumption and feature an Eco-Mode that allows users to adjust settings that help reduce toner use and CO₂ emissions. The built-in duplexing also creates less paper consumption.

The units include a one-piece toner cartridge system with high-yield toner available (up to 2,500 pages). This allows for fewer replacements, which is more convenient and a better value for the consumer. In addition, all models come with Samsung’s S.T.A.R. Program, a free service that reprocesses empty cartridges into their major usable component materials and then reuses for other products.

The ML-2955ND, ML-2955DW, SCX-4729FD and SCX-4729FW will be available in late August for $129.99, $149.99, $249.99 and $279.99, respectively.
