Emerick Woods Named President and CEO Of Talari Networks

Technology Veteran to Lead Company’s Continued Growth and Market Expansion

SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Talari Networks, Inc. today announced the appointment of Emerick Woods as president and CEO. The accomplished business leader brings more than 30 years of global experience in enterprise software, services and networking hardware industries to move Talari Networks into the next phase of its growth and innovation. He succeeds Andy Gottlieb, co-founder of Talari, who remains active with the company as a member of the Board of Directors.

Woods has led and founded a number of early- to mid-stage high technology companies as well as completed two initial public offerings (IPOs). Most recently, Woods served as CEO of Global IP Solutions (GIPS), a publicly listed company that provides media processing software for voice over IP (VoIP) and video conferencing solutions acquired by Google. Under his leadership, GIPS increased revenues by 400 percent within 18 months. Previously, Woods served as CEO of Vicinity Corp. where he completed an IPO raising $125 million. Subsequently acquired by Microsoft, Vicinity provided a location-based services platform to many of the world’s leading brands. He has also been CEO at several other venture-backed companies focused on the mobile carrier, location-based services, and network infrastructure markets. Woods has held a variety of management and executive positions at Quarterdeck, Symantec, Central Point and Microcom. Woods began his distinguished career at McKinsey & Company and Booz Allen & Hamilton.

He holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a BS degree in Computer Science from Yale University.
