SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Link_A_Media Devices, Inc., a leader in the development of semiconductor system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for the data storage market based on the deployment of magnetic and NAND media in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and Solid-state Drive (SSD) devices, announces the addition of Dr. C. Bernard Shung as its Senior Vice-President of Engineering.
Dr. Shung comes to Link_A_Media with pioneering contributions in both startups and large companies, with more than 25 years of experience in product and technology development in the semiconductor industry.
Prior to joining Link_A_Media, Dr. Shung was a Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering at SiBEAM, Inc., which was acquired by Silicon Image in 2011. Previously, Dr. Shung held several technical and engineering management positions, including Director of Engineering, Enterprise Switching, at Broadcom Corporation and Research Staff Member at the IBM Almaden Research Center. He was also on the faculty of National Chiao Tung University, where he spent his one-year sabbatical at Qualcomm.
