OAKLAND, Calif.--()--Ecologic Brands announced today three new appointments to its management team: Ted Leaman, as Chief Operating Officer; Glenn May, Chief Innovation & Packaging Officer; and Karyn Tran, as Controller.

“This is a very exciting time for Ecologic Brands”

“This is a very exciting time for Ecologic Brands,” said founder and CEO, Julie Corbett. “With these additions to our management team, the company can now move quickly to actualize our vision to be the leader in sustainable packaging. More and more brands are finding that consumers are scrutinizing the types of packaging they use and asking for greener choices. Ecologic is filling that void without compromising functionality. We’re changing the status quo in almost every category.”

Recently Ecologic Brands teamed with Seventh Generation “The Greenest Company in America” to produce its ground-breaking packaging for their new 4X Laundry Detergent bottle.

Ecologic Brands’ packaging — made from old newspapers and cardboard boxes — is fully recyclable and compostable. The containers can be used for everything from milk, juice and water — to motor oil, home cleaning, pet food and personal care products.

ABOUT ECOLOGIC BRANDS

Ecologic Brands' innovative new bottles are an eco-sensitive alternative to plastic jugs and non-recyclable containers. The Oakland, California-based company's goal is to finally give consumers and brands a sustainable choice in the packaging of everyday liquid products like detergent, household cleaners, milk and juice. Ecologic's hybrid bottle combines a rigid outer shell made from recycled cardboard and newspaper, with a lightweight inner pouch. The result is an outer shell that can be recycled with paper or composted, and a #4 pouch that can be recycled and uses less plastic. See the future of packaging at www.ecologicbrands.com.
