CHICAGO--()--Tatum, a national professional services firm, recently announced that three key senior financial professionals have been brought on board in the Chicago office to reinforce and help grow both the healthcare and accounting and financial services practices here.

According to Jim Dimitriou, Tatum’s managing partner central region, Tatum already has a cadre of talented professionals in Chicago. He notes, “The addition of Cindi Long, Roger Pederson and Frank Berauer will further enhance the quality of service we always provide to clients and enable us to strengthen our presence in not just Chicago, but throughout the entire Midwest.”
As a new partner with Tatum, Cindi Long will be responsible for serving the company’s portfolio of healthcare clients. Prior to Tatum, Long was with Rochester, Michigan-based Crittendon Hospital Medical Center, where she was an instrumental part of the turnaround team as CFO and Controller. Her extensive career focused exclusively on healthcare accounting roles at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, Horizon Health System, Detroit Macomb Hospital, Borgess Medical Center and Butterworth Hospital. Long earned a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Bluffton University and an MBA from Michigan State University. A certified healthcare financial professional, she has held multiple leadership roles in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Roger Pederson, also a partner with Tatum, will assist clients in the healthcare industry and is currently working in tandem with the CFO of a large hospital network in the Midwest. Pederson’s resume includes CFO of Meritain Health and United Health Group’s Care Management Centers Division; division controller at HealthEast Care System, and Senior Financial Consultant at Salo. He is a CPA with a Bachelor’s degree in business, specifically within hospital financial management, from Concordia College and an MBA in healthcare fiscal management from the University of Wisconsin.
Tatum’s new principal, Frank Berauer, has extensive experience serving in interim and project-based roles and will focus on serving clients in the manufacturing and services industries, including financial services and professional services. Prior to Tatum, he was a consultant and principal-level professional at The Johnsson Group for nearly five years. Berauer’s clients have included publicly-held companies, divisions of publicly-held companies, private equity-owned companies and family-owned businesses, such as Wrigley, Chamberlain Group, Sun-Times, Kraft, Hewitt, Life Fitness, ABN AMRO and Corus Bank. Berauer holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from UIC, and he is a CPA and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
