National Artrageous Event Features LIVE Graffiti Art Mural in San Diego

Celebrity Graffiti Artists Perform in San Diego at Aaron Brothers’ First Annual Urban Art Event to Benefit Boys and Girls Clubs

SAN DIEGO--()--Aaron Brothers announced the kick-off of the first national Artrageous Urban Art Event here with a performance by five of the world’s best known graffiti artists on Saturday, August 13, from 1 – 5 p.m.

The Aaron Brothers location at 2790 Midway Drive will host the first and largest of the four events. Artrageous will be a unique glimpse into the little known artistic underground of graffiti with celebrity urban artist appearances, live mural paintings, autograph signings, hands-on demos and free urban art supplies giveaways.

Internationally recognized graffiti artists, notoriously known as Ces, Revok, Risk, Sever and Wane, will create their street art mural LIVE for fans and the general public. All of these unconventional artists have traveled the world showcasing their graffiti skills. In 2011, leading art supply company Montana Cans endorsed the group as they joined the Montana Writer Team. (Graffiti artists are commonly known as “Writers.”) They will share their edgy urban art skills with the people of San Diego, all for a good cause.

The graffiti mural panels painted by the artists will be auctioned off online at the conclusion of the Artrageous events. Each panel will be displayed online and net proceeds will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, an organization that offers programs and services that promote and enhance the development of youth. Representatives and members from the San Diego Boys and Girls Club chapter will accept a special donation check from Aaron Brothers General Manager, Jim King, at the Artrageous event.

In addition, everyone attending will be invited to come into the Aaron Brothers store and participate in a personal hands-on street art demonstration using some of the hottest urban art supplies. Participants will receive a free street art starter kit, with new urban art products from some of the top brands.

Vitamin Water will be present serving cold beverages, and San Diego’s Hit Music Station 93.3 FM will play hit music throughout the day. 93.3 FM personalities will be present from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will give away station prizes.

All artists are also invited to submit their own street art masterpieces in an online contest for the opportunity to win $2,500. Details are available at aaronbrothersevents.com.

Young people need to know that someone cares about them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. For more information visit: http://bgca.org
