Imaging Diagnostic Systems Appoints New Board of Director

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--()--Imaging Diagnostic Systems, Inc., (IDSI) (OTCBB: IMDS) a pioneer in optical breast imaging is pleased to announce the appointment of David Schmidt, a Strategic Marketing Executive, to its company's Board of Directors. Mr. Schmidt's wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing and business development will assist the company in expanding the international marketing efforts and to develop strategic alliances moving forward. He is the first of the anticipated expansion of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Schmidt is currently an independent consultant advising various companies with strategic marketing and execution services in the healthcare and chemical and materials arena and in the field of alternate energy spaces. A former Honeywell International executive, he served as the Manager of Commercial Excellence, and as the Strategic Marketing and Business Development Manager. Prior to joining Honeywell he worked at Plasmion Corporation, Inc as their Senior Director and Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Schmidt held positions as an officer and in management at Film Specialties, Inc., ROI Group Inc., and at Hydromer, Inc., an invasive medical device specialty coatings company. Mr. Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics from Lehigh University.

The CTLM system is a laser based breast imaging system intended to provide the physician with physiological and clinical information non-invasively and without the use of ionizing radiation. The patient is positioned in the prone position comfortably on the scanning bed. The laser beam sweeps 360 degrees starting at the chest wall moving forward until the entire breast is scanned. The CTLM features 3-dimensional and Multi-planar views that display the distribution of blood supply within the vasculature structures of the breast. This information when interpreted by a trained radiologist can be useful in diagnostic determination.

The CTLM system has received certification and licenses to sell internationally European CE marking, CMDCAS Canadian License, China SFDA, UL, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003 and FDA export certification.
