Chris Ashe Joins New York Life as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Retirement Income Security

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New York Life Insurance Company announced today that Chris Ashe has joined the company as senior vice president & chief financial officer of the company’s Retirement Income Security (RIS) unit. He reports to executive vice president in charge of RIS, Chris Blunt.

Mr. Ashe is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business including financial planning and reporting, product pricing, investment alignment and risk management for the RIS business unit.

Prior to joining New York Life, Mr. Ashe spent sixteen years at Prudential Financial, where he most recently served as vice president of financial and strategic planning at Prudential Annuities. Additionally, he served as chief financial officer in the retirement division at Genworth Financial, and Wachovia Corporation as assistant controller and operations director.

Mr. Ashe holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Rutgers University, an M.B.A. from Georgia State University, and a chartered financial analyst (CFA) professional designation. He resides in Warren, New Jersey with his wife, Mindy, and their two children.
