WATERBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Post University, a traditional university with an excellent online program, today announced that Scott Allen has been named Chief Financial Officer. He joined Post University in 1999 and has served as Vice President, Finance and Administration of the University since 2000.
With 23 years experience in private higher education within the state of Connecticut, Mr. Allen manages all aspects of the university’s finance, budget, financial aid, and compliance operations, as well as human resources, facilities, contract and auxiliary services.
After a 10-year career with the University of New Haven, Mr. Allen joined Post in 1999. Since then, he has been a prominent member of the executive management team who has helped lead the University through a period of substantial growth.
“Scott has been an instrumental part of Post University’s ability to grow while still maintaining its focus on student achievement and satisfaction,” said Tom Samph, Ph.D., Chancellor and CEO of Post University. “His financial leadership has helped us manage the costs associated with more than tripling our staff, enhancing our existing curriculum, adding new academic and athletic programs, and improving the facilities on our Waterbury campus.”
Most recently, Mr. Allen has spearheaded the efforts to break ground on a new athletic field on the campus and renovate existing residence halls.

Mr. Allen is a graduate of the University of New Haven where he received his Master of Business Administration with honors, and holds a B.S. in Management from Central Connecticut State University.
