ATLANTA--()--Marshall L. Nash, MD and CEO of NeuroStudies.net is pleased to announce the launch of the NeuroScience Foundation, an organization geared at funding neurological research in the Atlanta area.
NeuroScience Foundation is committed to advancing the process of finding quality treatment options and a cure for neurological diseases, such as Stroke, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. The foundation’s goals are to subsidize funding for promising research trials lacking sufficient financial support, educate a network of physicians to participate in clinical research and promote a fundamental change to how research is conducted.
Susie W. Brown will serve as Executive Director of the NeuroScience Foundation and has over 25 years experience working with non-profit organizations. Ms. Brown obtained her Masters of Health Science in Administration from Wichita State University and began her 20 year career with the United Way in 1985. Most recently, Ms. Brown held positions with New York Urban League and Center for Children’s Initiatives.
As Executive Director of the NeuroScience Foundation, Susie Brown is charged with creating and fostering relationships with sponsors, community organizations and families in the community. She will inspire collaborative fundraising efforts, provide leadership in developing fundraising programs, ensure appropriate financial structure and maintain fiscal accountability.
“Through the NeuroScience Foundation and Susie Brown, we are looking to find treatments that will reverse the devastating symptoms of diseases like Stroke and Alzheimer’s. It is possible by supporting high quality research right in your local doctor’s offices. The patients are you, your friends and family. With Susie’s expertise and the support of the foundation, I am hopeful the advancement of research from treatments to cures is within our grasp,” said Dr. Nash.
