WESTLAKE, Ohio--()--TravelCenters of America LLC (“TA”), owner of Petro Stopping Centers, has announced a driver celebration event at its Petro full-service travel center at Exit 374 off I-35 at 101 Cornelius Road North, Carl’s Corner, Texas. The festivities will take place July 19-20, and will feature a variety of activities for professional drivers and motorists to attend and enjoy.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Carl Cornelius, Mayor of Carl’s Corner. Additionally, a number of Carl’s Corner City Council members will be in attendance to recognize Petro’s opening in this historic location.
Highlights of the celebration include:
- WBAP Midnight Trucking Radio live broadcast with radio personality Eric Harley: night of July 18/morning of July 19, midnight – 2 a.m.
- Ribbon cutting by Mayor Cornelius: July 19, 10 a.m.
- Texas music recording artist Teri Hart: July 19 and 20, 6-9 p.m.
- Random prize drawings and driver appreciation specials throughout both days!
The Petro at Carl’s Corner was previously known as “Willie’s Place,” and maintains the uniqueness and charm that has always been there. It opened for business in late April, and is holding this event to celebrate the drivers that have made it a success.
Petro invites everyone driving along I-35 to stop in for the event. There’s sure to be something enjoyable for everyone, including a 2,600 sq.-ft. travel store, 198-seat Iron Skillet® restaurant, a lounge with a 55-inch flat screen high definition television and leather La-Z-Boy® seats, music, prizes, food, and more!
