FAIRFIELD, Iowa--()--Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. (Cambridge) announced that Amy Webber, president and chief operating officer, has been named as one of the Top 50 Women in Wealth by AdvisorOne. This annual list recognizes the 50 most influential, powerful, and inspiring women in and around wealth management.
“The accomplishments of these women put the lie to the outdated notion that women can’t succeed in all levels of wealth management and in every business model, including broker-dealers, banks, asset management firms, and the RIA world”
“Amy’s commitment to independent rep-advisors is demonstrated in her passion for delivering high level, personal service and leading management solutions,” said Eric Schwartz, chairman and chief executive officer. “Her unwavering dedication to the industry is demonstrated through her active involvement in finding ways to do things that have never been done before.”
Recently, Webber’s accomplishments have included the creation of Cambridge New Century Council, hosting the first annual Cambridge Women Advisor Forum, developing an innovative outsourcing program, installing a wealth management platform, and launching a social networking pilot. Her eager approach to discovering all that social media has to offer the financial industry has put Cambridge at the forefront. Cambridge led the industry in offering compliant access to social media for its advisors and continues to find ways to support their efforts.
A 20-year industry veteran, Webber was named president of Cambridge in 2008—positioning her among an elite group of women leading firms with more than $40 billion in assets under management. Webber’s comprehensive executive management expertise includes leadership in compliance, finance, operations, service, and technology.
“The accomplishments of these women put the lie to the outdated notion that women can’t succeed in all levels of wealth management and in every business model, including broker-dealers, banks, asset management firms, and the RIA world,” said James J. Green, editor of AdvisorOne.com. “These 50 women are accomplished entrepreneurs, thought leaders, money managers, personal wealth managers of all kinds, and partners to those wealth managers. Their accomplishments transcend their gender, while their gender helps inform their personal values to their clients and customers.”
The 50 Top Women will be profiled throughout the month of July on AdvisorOne.com and in the August issues of Investment Advisor and Investment Research magazines.
