Andago Joins the Open Handset Alliance as a Software Company Member

MADRID--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andago, an innovation services and solutions global company of fully interoperable ecosystems based on Open Source and PaaS technologies for mHealth, eGovernment, eTourism, and Smart Energy Systems, today announces it has joined the Open Handset Alliance™.

As a member of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 82 technology and mobile companies designed to promote open standards for mobile devices for Android™, Andago will work with its members to contribute to the development of the Android platform and to accelerate innovation in the new models of care.

Andago is a pioneer of open source software and has developed Open Health Assistant™, a complete health monitoring solution based on Continua Design Guidelines™. This initiative provides an end-to-end solution that facilitates the interoperability of systems and enables the management of medical devices, mobile terminals, telecare / telemedicine services and integration with PHRs through the technology and communications systems developed by Andago in collaboration with the LibreSoft research group of University Rey Juan Carlos.

Continua Health Alliance is a non-profit industry group formed in order to advance personal connected health and wellness information sharing through the development of interoperability guidelines. As a member of Continua since 2008, Andago’s mission has been to establish a health interoperable ecosystem that enables people and organizations better management of their health and wellbeing.
