WESTON, Mass.--()--CollaborativeCARE Conference (C3), the first health care conference designed to foster regional coordinated care by educating specialists, primary care physicians and patients, today announced joint marketing relationships with medical associations and societies, a leading medical journal and other prominent organizations in the health care industry as it readies to launch the inaugural event in Long Beach, Calif., Nov. 15–20, 2011.

C3 has built relationships with major state medical associations in each region of the first three events in Long Beach, Philadelphia and Chicago, including:

The following state specialty associations have joined C3 for the inaugural Long Beach event:

“Our association with such reputable organizations that share our goals of a more coordinated, team-based health care system is essential to providing C3 attendees with the best possible conference experience that will ultimately result in improved patient outcomes,” said C3 Co-founder John Mooney. “We are thrilled to be working together with such prestigious organizations, each with their own areas of expertise and leadership, to make C3 a success for everyone involved.”

The New England Journal of Medicine has agreed to assist C3 in marketing to physician readers under the shared mission of educating practicing physicians about medical developments and keeping doctors connected to clinical science. Additionally, Best Doctors, Inc. and C3 will work together to offer C3’s world-class continuing medical education to the specialists and primary care physicians within Best Doctors’ unparalleled national network, ranked among the top five percent in their fields.

“Our work with C3 is a natural fit in terms of our collective effort to improve the quality and delivery of health care,” noted Evan Falchuk, president and chief strategy officer at Best Doctors. “Quality health care is all about providing patients access to the best minds in medicine – particularly important in today’s overburdened health care system. Access gives them the peace of mind that they are receiving the right diagnosis and the right treatment, and the confidence to make informed choices about their care.”

All clinical education and curricula will be provided by Lighthouse Learning, LLC. Lighthouse Learning will create educational opportunities across 12 medical specialty areas that are customized to each audience – specialist, primary care practitioners and patients. HIMSS, the leading nonprofit that promotes optimal use of IT and management systems to improve health care, will provide C3 attendees with customized access to health information technology at the event.

“Today’s family physician is tasked with providing patients the most accurate and up-to-date information about the latest treatment options available for improving their health and medical condition,” said Vince Keenan, executive vice president of the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians. “C3 is offering a world-class curriculum presented by nationally recognized faculty that features content specifically designed to educate across the health care spectrum, from specialist to generalist to patients and their families.”
