LOS ANGELES--()--FUEL TV (www.fuel.tv), Fox Sports Media Group’s dynamic entertainment and sports network for young males, announces the development of an irreverent, slightly raunchy, high-energy debate-format show “Master Debaters With Jay Mohr.” The original series, hosted by renowned actor and comedian Jay Mohr, premieres on FUEL TV Wednesday, September 7, at 10:30PM ET/PT.

“Master Debaters With Jay Mohr” features an opinionated celebrity panel discussing universal, evergreen topics guys relate to such as sports, entertainment and girls. Mohr, the show’s executive producer, is joined weekly by a panel that includes former Major League outfielder Eric Byrnes who played for five teams during his 11-year career and comedian Na’im Lynn. Special guests including Ron Artest, Michael Rapaport, Mark McGrath, Jason Ellis, Bryan Callen, Kevin Frazier, Jeremy Roenick and Ralphie May join in the group discussions each week. DLP Entertainment is producing the series for FUEL TV and Nikki Cox is a producer.

“This is a raw, fast-paced list show where guys debate random topics that they really care about,” says Mohr. “Our goal is to create an atmosphere where dudes talk about all the things they’re already discussing with their friends.”

“I think Jay is one of the funniest comics around today,” says George Greenberg, FUEL TV Executive Vice President and General Manager. “He is a rare talent who can maintain being funny and still host a show.”

Every 30-minute episode features three topics of typically interest men, like the most impressive ‘Rocky’ victory, worst sports mascot or the hottest TV star. The panel engages in fun, funny and sometimes heated discussions as they attempt to set rankings within these various categories.

Mohr is a comedian, actor, radio host and best-selling author. He worked with the Fox Sports Media Group in the past on Fox Sports Net’s “NFL This Morning” and done voice over for “Beyond The Glory.” In addition, he starred in the CBS scripted comedy “Gary Unmarried,” has worked for ESPN, Saturday Night Live, and been in more than 25 films including “Jerry Maguire.” Mohr is a regular guest host on the nationally syndicated Jim Rome Show, and still performs stand-up comedy.

“Master Debaters With Jay Mohr” premieres on FUEL TV Wednesday, September 7, at 10:30PM ET/PT.
