TEL AVIV, Israel--()--The 15th annual "CleanTech" International Conference ended last night with transactions estimated at about 250 million shekels expected to be signed as a result of meetings held between exhibitors and visitors from Israel and abroad. Among the most prominent examples: the SUNTECH company in the field of solar energy is expecting to finalize deals worth tens of millions of dollars following the exhibition; five delegations from Jordan dealing with agriculture showed interest in solutions for water and solar energy, and the president of a Polish company who came to the exhibition looking for a business partner in the field of wind energy, for distribution in Europe, was seen at the booth of the ISRAWIND company that participated in the exhibition.
The 15th annual CleanTech International Conference and Exhibition dealt this year with the expansion of business opportunities in the global clean-tech market which generates hundreds of billions of dollars. The exhibition, which concentrated this year in particular on water technologies, renewable energy, green building, recycling and energy efficiency, enabled hundreds of exhibitors from Israel and abroad to reveal the best of developments, inventions and innovations dealing with environmental issues to the Israeli audience and to dozens of delegations from around the world.
The International opening session began with the words of the Minister for the Environment, Mr. Gilad Ardan, the National Infrastructure Minister, Dr. Uzi Landau and the Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz. Following this were various conferences including the Italy-Israel Conference, the Asia-Israel Conference, the International Water Symposium, the Local Government Conference, the conference of the Industrialists' Association, the conference of the Israeli Association for Green Building, the Recycling Conference of the Israel Association for Environmental Defense, the conference of the Electric Company and the conference of the Israeli Association of Renovation Contractors.
Mr. Haim Allouche, CEO of the Mashov Group, organizers of the CleanTech Exhibition noted that: "The CleanTech Exhibition which is celebrating 15 years of existence is a platform for a thriving industry which is employing hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. The clean-tech industries in the coming decade will be the main engine of growth given the acute global need for water and energy. The thousands of visitors who came to the exhibition from all over the world including many of the diplomatic corps, and dozens of economic representatives alongside senior executives from the worldwide clean-tech industry are the best proof that the CleanTech Exhibition has become famous around the world and next year we estimate that the exhibition will double in size and will be a site of pilgrimage for exhibitors and visitors from all over the world."
This year all the advanced technologies, patents and developments that are making the world a lot greener and more ecological were shown at the conference: wind turbines for the home, green applications, a shower head with LED lighting, a thermal camera to detect gas leaks, ecological toilets for the home, water-saving taps, and an environmentally-friendly combustion engine.
- Green Applications from the "Design and Technology Center" at Ariel in Samaria, including special applications for categorizing plants, the complete green dictionary, recycling and memory games and added value for travelers
- A shower head with LED lighting from "Econology Systems" with a Nenturi turbo function that enriches the water flow with oxygen and reduces water consumption - with a special timer that computes the length of time in the shower, and is characterized by the LED lighting installed in the shower head!
- Wind turbines for the home from "Israeli Wind Power" for installation on both private and public roofs, including a screw turbine with an output of 2 kW, on which a company logo can be integrated - for advertising the business from afar
- A thermal camera from "Opgal" that makes possible the detection of gas leaks - EyeCGas, based on infrared technology (IR), and translates the heat given off by objects near the camera into a video image displayed on an LCD screen
- Designer taps which are efficient (up to 70%) for installation at home from the "Zahavi Atzmon" chain and are equipped with an electronic sensor system that operates the water supply when a user is identified, and which have a solar battery that uses new lighting systems to operate the taps.
- Green Services from "Bet Re'i" featuring an innovative solution to toilets outside or at home, thanks to the use of unique composting facilities that reduce the human waste by a natural organic process into 5% of the original volume, and use the resulting residue for organic fertilizer (compost). A fantastic saving of water and energy compared to toilets currently in use in Israel.
- An advanced system of solar street lighting from "LEDSUN", consisting of a solar panel with the highest input capability, an infrared sensor for saving energy and an advanced lithium-ion battery for prolonged illumination. For use in public parks, streets, communities, institutions and private homes.
- An innovative technology from SIGO Technologies who specialize in technological developments in the energy sector. After several years of development and registration of patents, they have developed a combustion engine that is innovative and environmentally-friendly and that ensures reduction of fuel consumption by more than 50%, and reduction of polluting emissions.
