NMS Labs Promotes Shelly H. Carolan to CMO and James G. Murphy to CFO--Two New Posts on its Executive Leadership Team

WILLOW GROVE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NMS Labs, a premier independent provider of professional forensic and clinical laboratory services, has announced the promotion of two key individuals on its executive leadership team. Shelly H. Carolan, MBA, who joined NMS Labs in August 2005 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, has been promoted to the newly created post of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In addition, James G. Murphy, who joined NMS Labs in March 2008 as Vice President of Finance, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In her new position, Ms. Carolan will be responsible for facilitating revenue growth through key sales and marketing strategies, including market and product expansion, while ensuring customer retention and customer service levels. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Fredric Rieders Family Renaissance Foundation. Prior to joining NMS Labs, Ms. Carolan was Senior Vice President for the Lab Support division of On Assignment. She has extensive sales and marketing experience at scientific-based organizations, earned an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University, and has a BS from Boston University.

As CFO, Mr. Murphy continues to supervise the financial and various administrative departments for NMS Labs. Mr. Murphy, who has more than 25 years of senior financial management experience, specializes in the communications and healthcare industries. While serving as CFO of three publicly held companies, he raised more than $1 billion in capital. Mr. Murphy is also a member of the Board of Directors of a BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly held medical device company. He is a graduate of Villanova University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
