Two Wilson Electronics Executives Recognized Among Utah’s Top Entrepreneurs

COO Joe Banos and director of marketing Jonathan Bacon named to vSpring Capital’s v100 list

ST. GEORGE, Utah--()--Two Wilson Electronics’ executives have been recognized by Utah-based vSpring Capital as members of vSpring’s 2011 Top 100 Venture Entrepreneur list.

Peers in the Utah business community voted Chief Operating Officer, Joe Banos and director of marketing, Jonathan Bacon to the v100 list of Emerging Utah Entrepreneurs.

“It’s an honor for both of us to be nominated and included on a list of the state’s top entrepreneurs,” Bacon said. “This is recognition of the technical innovation and business growth that Wilson has shown.”

Wilson Electronics produced record revenues in 2010 and is ahead of pace to break that record in 2011. The company recently went live with a redesigned Web presence that is helping propel sales growth.

“We’re always looking for ways to help our customers and the vast network of resellers who help promote our products, and the new design and layout of our website is an excellent tool,” Bacon said. “We will continue to update it to create a better user experience so these key audiences can find better information about our top selling line of cellular signal boosters.”

The v100 was created by vSpring Capital in 2004 as a method to identify and recognize entrepreneurs with Utah ties that are most likely to experience successful venture returns. Members of the v100 become part of an ongoing community of entrepreneurs that fosters collaboration and provides advantages in building and growing companies. Members of the 2011 v100 were honored Wednesday during a luncheon at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy.

Wilson was also recognized last week as a ‘Technology Enabler,’ by Connected World magazine at its 2011 Value Chain Awards gala. Wilson received the award after nominating Utility, an M2M business partner, which also received an award for ‘M2M in Action.’
