NATO Adds its First ZBV to Full Range of AS&E’s Cargo, Vehicle, Parcel, and Personnel Screening for Explosives Detection

BILLERICA, Mass.--()--American Science and Engineering, Inc. (“AS&E”) (NASDAQ: ASEI), a leading worldwide supplier of innovative X-ray detection solutions, announced today that it has received an order from NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) for its first Z Backscatter Van (ZBV™) X-ray screening system. NATO will add the ZBV, a highly mobile screening system, to its comprehensive arsenal of AS&E cargo, vehicle, parcel, and personnel screening systems currently deployed at checkpoints. NATO has successfully deployed AS&E’s OmniView Gantry, Z Portal®, SmartCheck®, and Gemini systems at multiple checkpoints.
