FALLS CHURCH, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US Investigations Services, LLC (USIS), the largest commercial provider of background investigation services for the federal government and an Altegrity company, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-year contract by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to provide support services for federal government background investigations. The contract has one base year and four option years for a total potential value of approximately $288 million.
Under terms of the contract with OPM, USIS will perform various support services including case file maintenance and pre-review of case files; case file preparation and screening; data entry; file preparation; sorting, mailroom and telephone/reception services; and microfilm and imaging. USIS, which is currently providing services to OPM in this area under a previous five-year contract, is working on a transition plan with OPM and will begin providing services under the new contract on June 30, 2011.
