Kootol Software Limited Sends Caution Notice to Twitter Inc., USA

MUMBAI, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kootol Software Limited has announced today that it has entered into an exclusive patent license agreement with Mr. Yogesh Rathod in respect of US Patent Application No. 11/995,343 titled “A Method and System for Communication, Advertising, Searching, Sharing and Dynamically Providing a Journal Feed.” This patent application has recently been accepted by the USPTO but has not yet been assigned a patent number. Patent applications for this invention have also been filed in India, Canada and Europe. Mr. Yogesh Rathod, who is the inventor and owner of this patent application, is also the promoter & director of Kootol.

This license agreement assigns exclusive rights to Kootol for an innovative technology providing dynamic and real-time communication. The invention allows the user to publish and send messages using one way or two way messaging and by subscribing to posts of other users of a network. By indexing each message of each user the system provides real time search capabilities to users of the network in turn creating a unique form of communication.

Through this license agreement, Kootol has rights to use this technology in multiple countries. Mr. Yogesh Rathod has expressed the importance of this patent for his company stating that, patents are of utmost importance because they provide access and acceptance to newly developed products or processes. He has also expressed the significance of this allowance and its contribution towards bringing them closer to creating a unique opportunity for potential investors.

Kootol has also announced that it has sent a notice to Twitter Inc., USA and has brought to their attention their accepted US patent application. They have also expressed concerns that Twitter Inc.’s micro-blogging website ‘Twitter.com,’ introduced around July 15, 2006, may violate their intellectual property. Kootol is in the process of examining this position and the purpose of serving this notice is to bring the fact to the attention of Twitter Inc. at the very earliest stage so that Twitter Inc. gets a full opportunity to examine the matter.
