Murad Launches The Murad Family Foundation

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Murad, Inc. announced today the formation of The Murad Family Foundation, headed by Hilarie Murad. The Murad Family Foundation is dedicated to improving the welfare, health and happiness of society as a whole.

Joined with other Murad family members, Hilarie Murad formed the Foundation to enhance the lives of children, veterans, and deserving individuals through healthcare, education, creative arts appreciation, environmental protection and economic relief.

The entire Murad family, through the Murad family of companies, has a long history of philanthropic work that inspired Hilarie Murad to form the Foundation, including providing free healthcare services to veterans and low-income families, donating care packages to active service members overseas and providing educational scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.

In its first year, The Murad Family Foundation will continue to support programs like Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Waner Children's Vascular Anomaly Foundation and the Murad After-School Program located in Redondo Beach, Calif. The Foundation will also support local schools and provide relief aid for individuals affected by natural disasters globally and encourage environmental protection through support of the Manhattan Beach Roundhouse, Center for Aquatic Education and the Heal the Bay Aquarium.

The Murad Family Foundation is currently accepting applications for grants to support work in areas of health, education and human services.
