Shireen Atabaki, MD, is an attending physician at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, where she also serves as Director of Medical Student Education and Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine, Dr. Atabaki brings to ExitCare an in-depth knowledge of pediatric emergency medicine and years of experience with a healthcare institution that is consistently ranked among the best pediatric hospitals in America.
Dr. Atabaki will be joining two other pediatric Editors-in-Chief as an integral part of ExitCare’s editorial organization. Francis Chan, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, CA, is currently serving as ExitCare’s pediatric inpatient (ExitCareIP™) Editor-in-Chief. Peter Winkelstein, MD, MBA, Chief of the Division of Pediatrics and Chief Medical Informatics Officer at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, is actively serving as ExitCare’s pediatric ambulatory care (ExitCareAC™) Editor-in-Chief.
