Pixofactor Entertainment Tees Up Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons for iPad

The “Number One Golf Book of All-Time” Now Available as an iPad App for a New Generation of Golfers to Experience and Learn From

ROYAL OAK, Mich.--()--Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons is coming to a new generation of devices and platforms for golfers to experience and learn from.

Pixofactor Entertainment, a complete video gaming and entertainment content development company, is launching the Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons for iPad. Company CEO Sean Hurwitz made the announcement.

In each lesson, Pixofactor brings golf fundamentals from the classic book which are explained and demonstrated with 3D interactive animation -- as if Hogan himself were demonstrating a personal lesson with the same skill that made him a legend.

“Ben Hogan was one of the greatest golfers in the history of the sport and his ‘Five Lessons’ Book has sold over 10 million copies worldwide,” said Hurwitz. “We are excited to bring his teachings to an interactive iPad application where users learn from a 3D avatar of Ben Hogan with fully interactive motion, swings and grips. It’s the future of how golfers will enhance their golf games.”

The Ben Hogan's 5 Lessons iPad app will be available on iTunes, beginning today, and will cost $9.99.

Pixofactor has also agreed to donate a portion from every app downloaded to two charities, The First Tee and The Ben Hogan Foundation. The First Tee’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The Ben Hogan Foundation is dedicated to honor, celebrate, and preserve the legacy and character of Ben Hogan through support of organizations that promote the game of golf and charities that reflect Mr. Hogan’s core values.

The iPad app is the first phase of the company’s Ben Hogan multi-million dollar project to develop the “Ben Hogan Five Lessons” across multiple digital platforms, including: A Nintendo Wii Game™, mobile applications and interactive web site. The Android version of the application will be available this Summer. The interactive web site and swing analysis app will be ready for Father’s Day 2011. The Ben Hogan Five Lessons Wii game is scheduled to be released during this year’s holiday season.

In November, 2010 Pixofactor became the first within the state of Michigan to receive the go-ahead for video game production across multiple digital platforms, since the incentive legislation was passed in April 2008.
