To utilize the new feature, you can select your U.S. state and town, then Swap.com will show you what items your neighbors have available, the most swapped items in your community, and even identify other Swap.com members that live near your home on a map. In an effort to protect users’ privacy, however, specific addresses are not revealed. Swap.com Local will also identify K-12 public schools nearby that have signed on to the company’s Swap4Schools initiative, easily enabling swappers to give back to their community by donating books to schools that are in need of supplies.
