Smith joins Evidon after 13 years in interactive media, most recently as Senior Vice President, Sales, at MediaMath. He will lead a national sales team that has just brought on three new directors with more than 40 years of digital media experience, in aggregate.

Smith was mostly recently SVP, Media Solutions at MediaMath, where he was responsible for selling demand side platform (DSP) solutions to advertising agencies and integrating Adroit Interactive, the dynamic creative solution provider (where he was CEO), which was acquired by MediaMath in April 2010. Prior to MediaMath and Adroit, Smith was founder and CEO of EchoTarget, a behavioral targeting advertising network, which was acquired by Acxiom Corporation in 2007.
Smith is an online behavioral advertising pioneer, launching DoubleClick’s Boomerang retargeting unit in 1999. After DoubleClick, Smith was Vice President of E-Commerce at Cendant Travel Link where he created shared, real time destination intent databases and marketing programs across travel business such as Cheap Tickets, Avis, Budget, Days Inn, and Ramada. He began his advertising career at Young & Rubicam in New York. Smith holds a BA in economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in marketing and finance from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Smith leads a team that has grown recently, with the addition of these three new directors:
- David Aron, National Sales Director from MediaMind located in LA – working for Evidon as Director, Agency Sales, West
- Marc Nayor, Director, East Coast Sales from QuadrantONE located in NY – working for Evidon as Senior Director, Agency Sales, East
- Tyler Sandler, Director of Sales, Eastern Region from MediaMind located in NY – working for Evidon as Senior Director, Agency Sales, East
Aron, Nayor and Sandler join Evidon’s veteran team, which includes Megan Mokri, Khatidja Ajania, and Chris Hogan. Prior to joining Evidon, Mokri and Ajania led strategic initiatives focused on compliance principles and the establishment of best practices regarding the use of online audience behavior data at Right Media, a Yahoo! Company. Hogan has a 10 year record of success at senior levels with multiple interactive media companies, including Expedia. Together, the Evidon team will deliver Evidon’s Assurance Platform – Evidon InForm – to simplify and speed compliance with OBA principles or brands and agencies.
Evidon InForm enables simple and scalable implementation of the Advertising Option Icon into display ads and Web sites, and gives consumers access to and control over how information is collected and used – while providing the option of opting out altogether.
