Red Hat Executives Slated for NCTA Spring Conference

Event to Focus on Using Technology to Drive Smart Business Decisions

(NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that Red Hat executives will speak during the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) 2011 Spring Conference. The event will explore how the effective use of technology drives smart decisions that enhance performance and the bottom line. It will include attendees from companies and organizations of all types and sizes with content that is applicable to leaders across multiple functional roles.

DeLisa Alexander, executive vice president, People and Brand, will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Maximizing Human Capital.” This panel will discuss how companies are utilizing technologies to improve the human resource functions within their organizations. It will also explore sourcing talent, training, employee evaluation and other ways technology is improving associates’ workplace experience. Red Hat CIO Lee Congdon will participate in the closing panel entitled “Evolving Role of the Modern CIO,” which will explore how the role of the CIO has moved from a chief technologist to a strategic leader for organizations. Among the topics considered will be how recent technology enhancements have influenced the role of the CIO, current challenges faced by CIOs, and how CIOs must communicate given their evolving responsibilities.
