WOW! Deploys EndaceProbes™ for Service Assurance Monitoring

Leading Cable Operator Acknowledges the Importance of Guaranteed 100 Per Cent Packet Capture And Visibility In Protecting Customer Experience

AUCKLAND, New Zealand--()--Endace (LSE: EDA), world leaders in network monitoring and recording, today announced that WOW! Internet, Cable and Phone, a leading provider of bundled services will deploy an Endace Monitoring and Recording Fabric across their 10Gb/s network infrastructure to give them deep visibility into the customer experience that they offer to their consumer and business customers.

WOW! knows that the quality of the end-user customer experience has a bearing on how the business is perceived in the market, and that investing in technology that helps them understand exactly what’s happening on their network is vital. WOW! prides itself on the customer experience and being able to resolve customer-impacting issues expediently. This has been central to the company’s reputation and brand.

Steve Radakovich, Network Engineering Manager at WOW! said “We operate in a highly competitive environment and being able to spot service affecting issues quickly and having the capability to trouble shoot them without putting guys out on the street to investigate is really important to both the top and bottom lines. Our EndaceProbes have already assisted in resolving an extremely tricky intermittent issue and we’re hopeful that the systems will enable us to improve the overall quality of our offering.”

Initially WOW! will deploy EndaceProbes on headends at their Illinois facility. The systems will be used to monitor and record all traffic on both 10Gb/s and 1Gb/s links and will enable technicians to rapidly resolve issues in response to customer enquiries. The Endace Application Dock™, which exists natively on all EndaceProbes, will enable WOW! to deploy the latest monitoring tools that fit their exact needs. WOW! has 4 other similar facilities across North America.

To help monitor and understand the quality of video and voice streams, WOW! will deploy Psytechnics Experience Manager into the Application Dock, alongside Endace Analytics. Neil Livingston, Chief Product Officer said “Being able to rapidly trouble shoot issues in a network-dependent business is critical. Our multi-application systems are uniquely able to help organizations like WOW! measure, monitor and protect their networks. The ability to chop and change between software tools as needs change and different issues arise and the knowledge that every application is seeing every packet makes the EndaceProbe a perfect choice for organisations that really are dependent on their network.”
