d-Wise Expands C-Level Management in Executing Growth Strategy

Whitmeyer, Olinger and Leveille Lead d-Wise Market and Product Expansion

RALEIGH, N.C.--()--d-Wise, provider of powerful business solutions for the unique challenges of the Life Sciences & Healthcare industries, has announced several changes to its C-level management that better position the company for expansion. Bud Whitmeyer, a technology veteran, will move into the position of Chief Executive Officer. Chris Olinger, d-Wise co-founder and current President, and John Leveille, d-Wise co-founder and current Vice President of Operations, will take on the roles of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively. Bud will join Chris and John on the company’s Board of Directors.

Whitmeyer initially joined d-Wise in July, 2010 and since that time has led d-Wise in its business development efforts as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. In assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer, Whitmeyer will continue to lead d-Wise’s strategic positioning and help the company expand its bandwidth to accomplish its plan for growth. In addition to having roots in SAS R&D, Whitmeyer has C-level management experience including his recent position as CEO of NuTech Solutions, having led that company through its eventual sale to Netezza (later sold to IBM).

Olinger, with an extensive history in software development and R&D product management for SAS, has developed a d-Wise team engaged in both software product development and custom software development services. He has led them in delivering innovative and high quality solutions for customers. In his new role, Chris will continue leadership in architecting and developing products and focus on expanding product market reach.

Leveille, a technical software architect with two patents to his credit and more than 15 years of Internet and distributed computing systems experience, also boasts deep SAS roots. As Chief Operating Officer, John will continue to manage the depth and breadth of technical skill sets within the d-Wise consulting team, as well as managing the deployment of skills to projects. Leveille will also explore new avenues of revenue generation through re-application of team capabilities as part of the company’s growth strategies.

“Bud has shown significant insight in creating a forward-thinking and realistic plan for d-Wise. He brings a valuable perspective to our existing leadership team that I am sure will enhance our company’s culture and prospects. I very much look forward to working with him,” said Olinger.

“Chris and John have invaluable knowledge into SAS solution architecture and the best ways to extend its capabilities for users through customizations and add-on tools,” said Whitmeyer. “By combining our strengths, we can be effective in identifying and responding to needs that are evident in our client base and in newly-recognized markets.”
