NEW YORK--()--INVISION, Inc., the leading provider of advertising planning and sales solutions to the media industry, and Canoe Ventures, the advanced television joint venture of the nation’s leading cable companies, today announced that INVISION now enables the sale of Canoe’s interactive television (ITV) marketing solutions through INVISION’s DealMaker Ad Sales System. As INVISION leads the market in providing ad sales software, this is a major milestone in the automation of systems that support Canoe’s national advanced advertising solutions.
“It is essential that advanced TV inventory become easier to sell and buy. That’s what Canoe is all about, and this commitment from INVISION moves us still closer to the promise of better, more relevant and engaging television.”
Canoe has enabled the largest national ITV platform in the nation, touching more than 18 million households overall and running in 18 of the top 25 DMAs. Canoe was founded by the nation’s leading cable operators to make cable’s advanced television solutions easier to buy, use and measure on a national scale. Canoe’s ITV solutions allow networks and marketers to engage with viewers in more meaningful ways that are effective for advertisers.
In 2010, Canoe launched its first product, an ITV solution coined RFI (Request for Information) on three cable networks. RFI allows viewers to request information, samples or coupons during commercial breaks on network inventory, simply by using their TV remote control. Canoe-enabled interactivity is soon to be available on 7 national cable networks.
“INVISION’s commitment to helping their network clients sell ITV solutions recognizes the importance that advanced advertising will play in the future of television,” said David Verklin, CEO of Canoe Ventures. “It is essential that advanced TV inventory become easier to sell and buy. That’s what Canoe is all about, and this commitment from INVISION moves us still closer to the promise of better, more relevant and engaging television.”
Offered on both an enterprise and a hosted basis, INVISION’s software-based solutions manage the sale of more than $13 billion in annual television advertising inventory, helping media outlets increase the revenue yield on available advertising inventory. INVISION has established valuable and trusted relationships with a wide array of customers representing over 45 media outlets such as Comcast, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures Television, and Univision. INVISION is developing - and will launch later this year - the DealMaker Crossroad (DMC) platform, the only fully integrated sales and commercial operations system with DealMaker, and DealMaker Digital, a comprehensive digital ad sales planning and management system.
“INVISION has earned the business of many of the nations’ leading cable networks by keeping pace with the new opportunities that help support their business,” said Lynda Clarizio, CEO of INVISION, Inc. “Canoe’s ITV solutions offer programming networks a path to new advertising revenue that can enhance their business, both via the bottom line and via the more engaging experience delivered to viewers. It’s only natural that INVISION would be on the leading edge of this industry evolution with seamless support in DealMaker.
