SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wi2Wi, Inc., a leader in Wireless System-in-Package (SIP), module, and subsystems for embedded applications, introduces W2SG0008i, the world’s smallest GPS module with State-of-the-Art performance and Industrial-Temperature, based on the leading-edge newly introduced and market proven CSR-SiRF Star-IV chip.
The W2SG0008i has dimensions of 6.75mm x 6.75mm, and is the world’s smallest autonomous GPS. Its ultra-fast time-to-first-fix, internal battery back-up RAM, small form factor, and high receive sensitivity make it an ideal GPS solution for a broad spectrum of OEM products. Its high sensitivity navigation engine tracks as low as -163dBm with 48 track verification channels. This module supports most common interfaces including I2C and UART, operating from single 1.8V supply. W2SG0008i Adaptive Micropower Controller allows hot start capability with a very small current consumption.
The 0008i module comes with an integrated TCXO and RTC clock as well as a SAW filter & LNA, and is fully certified for regulatory compliance. The active jammer remover eliminates the in-band jammers up to 80 dB-Hz. This module provides precision GPS location identification with a very small footprint, and over -40C to +85C.
