CONTEXTWEB Awarded Patent for Real-Time Classifier, Validating Leadership Position in Contextual Audience Targeting

NEW YORK--()--CONTEXTWEB Inc., http://www.contextweb.com, a leading provider of integrated digital media services, announced today it has been awarded U.S. Patent Number 7,912,752 for its Real-Time Classifier technology.

The awarding of the patent, which was applied for 10 years ago under the name “Internet contextual communication system,” validates the position of CONTEXTWEB as the leader and innovator in real-time contextual targeting of digital media. You can view the patent here.

The Real-Time Classifier allows CONTEXTWEB to look in real time at content from across thousands of websites and millions of pages in 400 Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)-compliant categories. “The CONTEXTWEB Real-Time Classifier has been architected from the ground up to curate online content in real time by delivering a high degree of content categorization,” said Tim Murray, CEO of CONTEXTWEB. “This increases the likelihood of improved digital campaign performance – whether measured through click-through rates, conversions or brand lift.”

“We are justifiably proud of our patented Real-Time Classifier technology,” added Murray. “It’s the culmination of a considerable investment of time, money and engineering that has allowed us to be at the forefront of helping advertisers and publishers reach their desired audiences.”
