Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc. Adds Three Management Contracts, One Receivership

Looks to Ink as Many as 10 Contracts by Year’s End

SALISBURY, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Officials of Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a leading, Maryland-based hotel management and services company, today announced the company has signed contracts to manage the 350-room Crowne Plaza Hartford – Downtown Hotel, in Connecticut; the 158-room Ramada Plaza Hagerstown, in Maryland; and the 160- room Best Western Deltona Inn, in Florida. The company also was appointed as receiver for the 125-room Comfort Inn Hotel in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

“We expect to see a significant uptick in the number of properties either being sold or placed into receivership this year,” said Mike Marshall, president and CEO. “Our plan is to continue to add properties at a measured pace. We have the infrastructure in place to add some 10 new contracts in 2011.

• Crowne Plaza Hartford – Downtown Hotel—Located at 50 Morgan Street, at the intersection of I-84 and I-91, near Dodge Music Center, XL Center and Connecticut Convention Center.
