Loomis Sayles "San Francisco" Core Team Announces Team Expansion with New Quantitative Analyst Role

BOSTON & SAN FRANCISCO--()--Loomis, Sayles & Company today announced the addition of Bruce Saldinger as quantitative analyst for the San Francisco Core Bond Team. In this new position, Bruce will be responsible for further integrating the extensive research and technology resources of Loomis Sayles into the team's investment process. The team, which is led by co-heads Bill Stevens and Lynne Royer, manages $750 million in institutional assets.

Bruce joins Loomis Sayles from Wells Capital Management where he worked with Bill and Lynne as the director of quantitative development on the Montgomery Fixed Income Team. In this new role, Bruce will continue to work with Bill, Lynne and their team and will focus on helping to evolve the investment process by leveraging the existing research and technology resources available at Loomis Sayles. This will include tapping into the vast fundamental research of Loomis Sayles, particularly in the corporate, mortgage and structured product sectors. He will also help incorporate the tools and insights from the Quantitative Research and Risk Analysis group into the team's investment process. Bruce will collaborate with the Boston-based Technology team on projects that include enhancing performance attribution models, risk management, OAS or prepayment models, and integration of "street" information with existing investment processes.
