Fujitsu Network Communications Announces Support for Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami Relief

North Texas Company Commits to Matching Funds up to $250,000 for Additional Donations by Their Industry Business Partners & Employees

RICHARDSON, Texas--()--Fujitsu Network Communications, a leading provider of business, information technology, and communications solutions, today announced contributions of as much as $250,000 to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund in support of disaster and humanitarian relief efforts.

An initial gift of $100,000 will be made, with another contribution of as much as $150,000 to match business industry partner and employee donations.

“The Fujitsu Network Communications employees across North America express our heartfelt condolences to victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan last week,” said Makoto Hamada, president and chief executive officer. “We invite concerned industry business partners to show their support by making donations to the American Red Cross fund established for Japan earthquake relief efforts.”

Cheryl Sutterfield-Jones, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross Dallas Area Chapter, added, “The magnitude of the earthquake in Japan is unprecedented, and we’re grateful to Fujitsu, as well as other companies and individuals, for their generous support of the relief efforts.”

Industry partners and employees who make donations to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund can submit their donation receipt to Sheila Reynolds (Sheila.reynolds@us.fujitsu.com) at Fujitsu Network Communications for matching purposes.
