GLEN ALLEN, Va.--()--Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE: DX) announced today that it plans to offer, subject to market and other conditions, 8,000,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. The Company also plans to grant the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 1,200,000 shares of common stock.
BofA Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC are the joint bookrunners for the offering, JMP Securities LLC is acting as a lead manager for the offering and Sterne Agee is a co-manager for the offering.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to acquire additional investments, consistent with its investment policy, and for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, repayment of maturing obligations, capital expenditures and working capital.
