CompanionLink Announces PC Sync Support for Motorola Xoom

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CompanionLink^® Software announces two-way synchronization and backup of contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Microsoft^® Outlook^® and the Motorola^® Xoom^™ running Android^™ 3.0 (Honeycomb). CompanionLink offers four ways to sync Outlook with the Xoom – wired USB sync, local Wi-Fi sync, a secure hosted wireless sync service, and automatic wireless sync via Google^®. CompanionLink’s wired USB sync with Motorola Xoom works in tandem with DejaOffice^™ – an Android app that runs on the Xoom – to sync contacts, calendar, tasks and notes with a PC. Data syncs securely through the USB cable that comes with the Xoom.

Local Wi-Fi sync uses your Wi-Fi network to automatically sync data between PC and DejaOffice on the Xoom. This hands-free sync is automatically triggered whenever your device is near your PC, offering convenient and secure sync.

Sync via CompanionLink’s Secure Hosted service is a monthly service that uses AES-256 encryption to sync your data over-the-air between your PC and DejaOffice on the Xoom. For maximum security, this service does not store your data in the cloud.

Sync via Google transfers PC data to any Google account, which then wirelessly syncs with the Motorola Xoom through its data connection. This provides basic wireless sync of contacts and calendars without any monthly fees.
