TNS Launches Enhanced Payment Gateway Service in UK and Ireland

SHEFFIELD, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--An enhanced version of the TNSPay gateway service is being launched in the UK and Ireland by Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS).

TNSPay, formerly branded as CommsXL, is a leading multi-channel payment gateway service, with a strong reputation for security, reliability and availability. Pre-accredited by leading UK and Irish acquirers as well as PCI DSS certified, TNSPay enables merchants to process EMV Chip and PIN, eCommerce, mail and telephone order transactions. In January TNS announced that it had achieved Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA DSS) validation for the point of sale payment client, a component of the TNSPay gateway solution for multi-channel retailers.

Major retailers, including The Co-Operative Food, have recently announced plans to allow customers to make payments of up to £15 by “tapping” their cards against readers.
