CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--Crimson Hexagon (http://crimsonhexagon.com), a social intelligence company in the vanguard of online media monitoring and analysis, announced today that it has appointed Patricia Gottesman to the position of President and CEO. Gottesman, who joined the Crimson Hexagon board in December, brings decades of highly successful business, marketing and product development experience, and will build on the proprietary design of Crimson's technology platform, originally developed at and licensed from Harvard University, as well as accelerate the company’s recent operating momentum to create new opportunities for growth.

“Crimson Hexagon is in an incredible position for growth,” said Crimson Board Director Sheryl Schultz, “and we're confident that the company’s talented team, under Patricia’s accomplished leadership, will aggressively build on its considerable successes to date.”

“Given our experiences with Patricia as a member of the Crimson Board,” said Crimson co-founder, Board Member, and Harvard’s Alfred J. Gottesman's 28-year career with top-10 cable distribution, content and entertainment company, Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) included executive marketing, operations and product management roles with responsibility for consumer and SMB revenue, as well as two NATAS Emmy Awards for Interactive Television; the NCTA Vanguard Award for Marketing; and, Advertising Age, Cable World, WICT and Multichannel News designations as one of the Ten Most Powerful Women in Cable, a Wonder Woman, and a Woman to Watch.

Most recently, Gottesman served as an international technology and media consultant, whose client roster has included top US media companies as well as mature and start-up digital and technology firms in the US and India. Gottesman is also an advisor to the Mahindra Group's Tech Mahindra (Pune, India) subsidiary, as well as a Golden Seeds (Boston, MA and New York, NY) investor supporting female entrepreneurship with access to capital in the technology, life sciences and consumer products fields.

“It's a privilege to lead the Crimson team,” said Gottesman. “I'm looking forward to building on the excellent momentum the company and its Board have established through technology leadership and strong operating performances.
