Aura Receives a New Delivery Release Under the U.S. Coast Guard Production Award for the Medium Response Boat Fleet (RB-M)

The new release brings the total to-date authorized deliveries to approximately $2.1 million

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--()--Aura Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: AUSI) announced today that it received the next release under the U.S. Coast Guard multiyear contract which was awarded in 2006 to Marinette Marine Corporation (MMC). Aura's VIPER power solution is the power system used on the RB-M. With this new release, the total released to date now stands at 105 patrol boats (210 VIPER systems).

Each boat consists of two 8.5Kw VIPER systems, which provide all of the AC and DC power as well as replace the alternator. Each VIPER system supplies 8,500 watts of continuous power/9,000 watts of peak power at engine idle.

To date Aura has delivered two power systems per boat for 48 patrol boats (approximately $960,000) and will deliver the released balance of 114 systems on 57 boats according to the required schedule. This release is part of a multiyear Coast Guard contract requiring the delivery of up to 250 RB-M patrol boats at a total contract value to Aura of up to $5.0 million.
