CTO-in-Residence at Mzinga, Inc. Brings Global Enterprise Technology Experience to Leading Intelligent Automation Software Company

PROVO, Utah--()--Adaptive Computing, a leader in unified intelligent automation technology, today announced the addition of the highly respected technology executive Alan Nugent to the company’s board of directors. Nugent brings nearly 30 years of experience managing and engineering the strategic technology direction in global enterprises ranging from start-ups to $20 billion companies. Currently an officer and board member with private software company Mzinga, Inc., Nugent will work closely with other members of the Adaptive Computing board and the company’s executive team to help further its growth and emerging leadership in the cloud computing, data center and HPC markets.

“Adaptive Computing is experiencing skyrocketing customer demand for its cloud automation intelligence system, as they have maintained a rapid pace of technology innovation, developed deep partnerships with technology leaders and maintained a laser focus on their customers’ critical requirements,” said Nugent. “I am excited to join the board of directors of such a dynamic company to help accelerate Adaptive Computing’s ability to meet that growing demand.”

Nugent joins the Adaptive Computing board of directors, which includes Adaptive Computing founders David and Michael Jackson and representatives from Intel Capital and EPIC Ventures. The board of directors will help the company drive new innovations in the cloud and accelerate adoption of dynamic services for efficient data centers from IT-centric or business-centric approaches.

“In a distinguished career in which he has helped drive the direction of some the industry’s most successful companies, Alan has cemented his reputation as a strategic resource and visionary,” said Michael Jackson, president and COO of Adaptive Computing. “Alan’s contribution to our board of directors will help Adaptive Computing advance our mission of driving unprecedented efficiencies, scale and performance in the world’s largest private and public clouds.”
